On Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, The Tie hosted our second annual The Bridge conference, focusing on the convergence of digital assets and institutional finance.
The Bridge Conference
Event Recap – The Bridge 2024, Presented by The Tie
The Bridge gathered more than a thousand executives from leading traditional institutions and digital asset firms, designed to foster engaging and dynamic discussions of both Blockchain and Finance. Hosted at Convene Brookfield Place, and with media excluded from the event, The Bridge provided an exclusive and private atmosphere for institutions and blockchain innovators to have open and candid conversations.
Hosted the day after the U.S. election, we set the stage for the most crucial conversations at the pivotal interaction of U.S. politics and crypto markets. The energy and excitement for the future of institutional crypto was on full display.
The Bridge featured three key pillars: networking with top-tier industry professionals, expert-led panels, and opportunities for 1:1 meetings with our blockchain partners and token issuers. Over the course of the day, we learned from over 100 industry leaders, helped facilitate 100s of introductions between tokens and institutions, and had over 200 funds and 200 tokens in attendance.
Some key themes included:
- Mike Novogratz (Founder & CEO, Galaxy) kicked things off by delivering a fireside chat with a bold message about crypto narratives, saying “We need to get away from just telling stories and start delivering real products that solve real problems.”
- Keynote speaker Don Wilson (CEO & Founder, DRW) shared some thrilling insights into the history of DRW and Cumberland, tokenization and Canton, AI, the SEC charges against Cumberland, and trading digital assets.
- With the U.S. election results top of mind, panelists held thoughtful conversations about their post-election perspectives and the effect on digital asset and macro markets. Anthony Scarramucci (Founder & Managing Partner, SkyBridge) spoke candidly about his political experience and the U.S. government’s role within the crypto industry.
- Ecosystem presentations from our blockchain partners and top Layer 1s & 2s covered the fundamental use cases and key technological developments of their platforms, including from The HBAR Foundation, Canton Network, zkVerify, Sui, Solana Foundation, Oasys, Ava Labs, Polkadot, Matter Labs, and Midnight.
We are excited to share The Bridge is returning in Fall 2025. Pre-sale tickets are available on our website. Stay tuned for more information.
